WHY VITALOS

The scientific studies and the long-term clinical evidence in the implantology field have shown the importance of some biological principles that must be respected during reconstruction surgery.

BIOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES   &   PD VITALOS CEMENT SOLUTION

The vascularization of soft tissues has a great influence on the bone remodeling process taking place underneath. Every prejudice to the blood flux in soft tissues slows down the bone growth process and leads to the volumic loss of a part of the substitute material instead of providing the desired bone volume.
From a clinical viewpoint, the smaller the incision the better the post-operative vascularization will be. When the stress applied through the sutures is kept low, the blood flux in the gums and the periosteum is preserved.
Why use PD VitalOs Cement :
  1. Its presentation in a syringe allows mini-invasive and quick installation through injection of the cement.
  2. Its hardened final phase avoids the incision of a flap to place a membrane
  3. Its excellent biocompatibility with soft tissues promotes good gingival healing and growth. This allows suturing without tension and, if necessary, non hermetically.
The shortening of the surgeries duration and their limited number on a same operative site lowers the occurrence of post-operative complications and enhances the healing process.
Why use PD VitalOs Cement :
  1. Its ready-to-use syringe avoids any ex vivo pre-mixing, with blood or physiological solution. Its « 2-in-1 » properties make the use of a membrane unnecessary, which saves operative time.
  2. Its strong adhesion to implants and its mechanical resistance make it possible to privilege one-step surgeries, like immediate implantation after extraction or sinus lift with simultaneouw implant installation.
The resorbability of the bone graft/substitute and its ability to revascularize is a pre-requisite for the new bone formation process.
Why use PD VitalOs Cement :
  1. In vivo, the resorption kinetics of the main cement phase – brushite – allows regular vascularization of the resorption interface and the new bone formation in place of the resorbed cement.
The stability of the synthetic bone substitute or autologous graft, as well as intimate contact with the recipient site are necessary in order to avoid any ingrowth of soft tissue, rejection of the graft, leading to additional bone loss, weakening or necrosis of the gingival tissue.
Why use PD VitalOs Cement :
  1. The synergy between the implant and PD VitalOs Cement allows anchoring and stabilisation of the injected cement, providing a favorable interphase for new bone growth.

WHAT IS PD VITALOS CEMENT

PD VitalOs Cement is a mineral bone regeneration cement designed for bone regeneration in dental surgery. It consists of two Calcium Phosphate pastes which set within minutes once injected. The hardened cement consists of Brushite, a Calcium Phosphate that resorbs within a few months.
